MeetDeafSingles.com is a very popular site. On a quick example search we found profiles for 156 women aged 20-40 in the whole of the UK which is a good number.
It has an interface that is easy to use and is in a bright and cheerful color. When searching there is the option of sorting the results by distance, recently on-line, newest numbers and most photos. There is a good range of features including a chat room, members' videos and extensive lists of members activity. The format of this site is similar to two other sites in this category, lower down in the top ten list. Many of the members profiles do not have photographs and the photographs are all somewhat blurry.
Whereas some sites do not mention deafness at all, this site seems to flaunt it with a sexual tone. For example, pages entitled "Deaf Hunks" and "Deaf Babes". The photographs used in advertising on the site are reflect this sexualized tone as well, which may or may not appeal to potential members. It all depends on how people see themselves and want to be seen on the dating scene. Some people might find this refreshing while others may find it a bit off-putting.
As part of the trial membership you have unlimited access to the browse feature and limited access to features such as e-mail, flirts and member's activity information. As a premium paying member you can send unlimited messages and flirts and see full size photos and full profiles. There is only one type of paid membership so the choice for signing up is simple. There is an option of a five day trial for only £4.99 but be aware that this will automatically re-bill at £27.99 per month, after the five days. The best value is to sign up for 3 months and pay £39.99. This is an average price for a product in this category and there is plenty of opportunity to try before you buy.
On your profile there are good options for describing your relationship situation and the type of relationship you are seeking, including what kinds of pets you have (including options for bird, fish, rodent, I own a farm, reptile and exotic animal. The mind boggles!) However there is no option for saying what your hearing status is and whether you can sign, or if you are looking for someone who can sign. All this is assumed on signing up and is left to members to elaborate in their profile text. It will not come up in a search.
There are a good range of browsing features such as "near me" "new members" "all members" with filter options, and "featured members." There appears to be no matching feature on this site. At any one time there were a good number of members who showed up on-line so your chances of finding a date ought to be good here. The help files are fairly comprehensive and dealt with in FAQ fashion. There is also a search feature in the help section. If you can not find the answer to your question there is a form for contacting the site. MeetDeafSingles.com site has all the main features and much more so why not sign up for a free trial?
